‘James Holmes, the 24-year-old charged in last month’s deadly Aurora, Colo., theater shooting, is mentally ill, his lawyers disclosed during a court appearance that featured an unusual outburst on Thursday.

Chief District Judge William Sylvester heard testimony from representatives of more than 20 news organizations asking for search warrants and other records related to the case to be unsealed.

Both the prosecution and defense argued that releasing such information would jeopardize their respective cases.

“We cannot begin to assess the depth of Mr. Holmes’ mental nature until we get the documents,” defense attorney Daniel King told the court.

Sylvester, who had issued the gag order, said he would not decide on the matter until next week.

Holmes, the former Ph.D student, was present in court and had “the same dazed demeanor that he has had in previous court appearances,” the Associated Press said.

During the hearing, a woman seated in the second-to-last of the courtroom stood up and said she had evidence of judicial misconduct on behalf of the public defender.

“I tried to deliver information vital to the defense of James Holmes to the public defender,” the woman—who appeared to be in her 20s—said, her voice shaking.

The woman, who was held by two deputies, said the defense team told her they were not willing to speak to Holmes about that information.

“It will do the victims’ families justice to have this information,” the woman, who identified herself as said as she was led out of the courtroom.

Twelve people were killed and 58 others injured in July 20 massacre at a midnight screening of “Dark Knight Rises.”’

‘A protester belonging to an Occupy Wall Street group in rural Pennsylvania is being charged with felony attempted bank robbery and a terrorism-related charge for holding signs up during a demonstration at a local Wells Fargo branch.

David C. Gorczynski, 22, was charged on Tuesday with attempted bank robbery and terroristic threatening, both felonies, as well as one misdemeanor charge of disorderly conduct. Police detained him after he walked into an Easton, PA Wells Fargo branch with a sign that read “You’re being robbed” and another that said “Give a man a gun, he can rob a bank. Give a man a bank, and he can rob a country.”’

‘Chief executives of the search engine, Google, vowed in a recent meeting with Israeli prime minister to render full service to the Mossad spy agency.

“Investment in Israel was among the best decisions ever made by Google,” Google chief executive Eric Schmidt said during the meeting with Netanyahu. During the meeting, Netanyahu gave Schmidt a sketch which showed the Israeli flag hoisting above Google’s emblem.

Western media reports had also earlier revealed that Google renders continued and special services to several spying agencies, including the CIA.’

‘Chong was diagnosed about a month ago with prostate cancer, he was told by his doctor that a ‘slow stage 1′ cancer has been active for a ‘long time’. Chong, known for appearing in a number of films based on hippies and drug culture movements, and his role in ‘That 70′s Show’, revealed his diagnosis to support the decriminalization of marijuana use – as expected, Chong has been treating his cancer with the use of hemp oil.

“I’ve got prostate cancer, and I’m treating it with hemp oil, with cannabis,” Chong said. “So [legalizing marijuana] means a lot more to me than just being able to smoke a joint without being arrested.”

Interestingly, Chong says that he started having prostate-related problem only once he was drug-free for three years. ”So I know it had nothing to do with cannabis…Cannabis is a cure,” Chong said. He did note, however, that he doesn’t smoke marijuana as a means of treating his cancer, but rather ingests hemp oil ”at night, so I won’t be woozy all day.” “I’m taking it as a medicine,” he said.

Chong, like many others, has the same question: why is marijuana illegal when the plant is powerful enough to fight one of the leading causes of death?’

We’re lead to believe that we live in a free and democratic society, but unless the underlying reality reflects those words, then words are all they are; the propagandist rhetoric of authoritarian control freaks.

Not only does the UK have the largest amount of CCTV cameras per person in the world; twice the amount of communist China, but it was revealed this week that the Government will go ahead with the invasive “Communications Data Bill”, making UK web users the most snooped on in any Western *cough* democracy.

And what better way to demonstrate that this freedom we’re supposed to have is nothing more than a crude deception, than by enlisting the Queen (the epitome of elitism and inequality) to the tell the peasants how their communications will be ruled.

During Her Majesty’s speech to Parliament this week she announced:
“My Government intends to bring forward measures to maintain the ability of the law enforcement and intelligence agencies to access vital communications data under strict safeguards to protect the public, subject to scrutiny of draft clauses.”

In layman’s terms, the increasingly privatized police services and the runaway and unaccountable intelligence agencies (who will be getting the privilege of hiding behind an even more stringent secret court system) will now have access to almost every electronic communication you make, unless of course they leave some of the data on a train.’

‘In an exclusive interview with Press TV on Monday, Shabazz commented on the murder of Black teenager Trayvon Martin, saying, “There are hundreds of Black Americans who are being murdered in the United States every year with impunity. And police officers serve no time. They always get off.”

Shabazz said this occurs because there is institutionalized racism in the United States. “The United States has more people incarcerated than anywhere else in the world. It has more people incarcerated than China, and China has the most people in the world,” he noted.’
