“They created a monster that they can no longer control, and its turning against them in a way that was absolutely foreseeable. The fact that the Tony Blair policy which Obama, Cameron and Sarkozy followed implementing the overthrow of Gaddafi in August 2011 created this condition which was understandable, anyone could’ve known what was going to happen. We worked directly with Al Qaeda militias all throughout Benghazi and other parts of Libya, so now its become ungovernable. So even the people who initiated the mess have to leave to protect themselves because nobody will protect them and the situation is completely out of control.”

Chaos and destabilization as a way to maintain control in Libya'

‘As the sabre rattling against Syria gets ever louder, the allegations ever wilder and double standards, stirring, plotting and terrorist financing (sorry: “aiding the legitimate opposition”) neon lit, it is instructive to look at the justifications presented by US Administrations for a few other murderous incursions in recent history.

This month is the twenty third anniversary of the US invasion of Panama on 20th December 1989, as Panamanians prepared their Christmas celebrations. A quick check reminds the late Philip Agee recalling President George H.W. Bush telling the American people that the threat from Panama (pop: 3,571,185 – 2011) was such that: “our way of life is at stake.” Agee referred to this in his aptly named talk “Producing the Proper Crisis.”(i) Apt then as now. Nothing changes.

The aim of the invasion was to capture the country’s leader General Manuel Noriega and, of course, to: “establish a democratic government.” Regime change.

With the approaching transfer of control of the Panama Canal to Panama (originally scheduled for 1st January  1990) after a century of US colonial stewardship, America wanted to ensure it was in the hands of malleable allies.’

A National Transitional Countil (NTC) fighter pulls Libya's former leader Muammar Gaddafi onto a miltary vehicle in Sirte in this still image taken from video shot on October 20, 2011 and released on October 22, 2011 (Reuters/Reuters TV)

‘Libyan rebels abused and mass murdered Colonel Gaddafi, his son Mutassim, and 66 loyalists, after their capture a year ago, Human Rights Watch says. It calls for an investigation and prosecution of those responsible for what they slam as war crime.

The 50-page report “Death of a Dictator: Bloody Vengeance in Sirte” details the last hours of Muammar Gaddafi’s life on October 20, 2011, when he was caught trying to leave the city with his remaining supporters.

HRW admits difficulty in reconstructing the final days of Libya’s ex-leader since “he was surrounded by a small circle of trusted confidants and bodyguards, most of whom were killed in the attempted escape from Sirte,” stated the report.

The report relies heavily on interviews with Mansour Dhao, a senior security official and head of the pro-Gaddafi People’s Guard, and other surviving witnesses of the event. The interviews took place in Libya two days after Gaddafi’s death.’

‘A French secret serviceman acting on the express orders of Nicolas Sarkozy is suspected of murdering Colonel Gaddafi, it was sensationally claimed today.

He is said to have infiltrated a violent mob mutilating the captured Libyan dictator last year and shot him in the head.

The motive, according to well-placed sources in the North African country, was to stop Gaddafi being interrogated about his highly suspicious links with Sarkozy, who was President of France at the time.

There are still pockets of support for former leader Muammar Gaddafi's regime in Libya, despite his death
Nicolas Sarkozy, France's former president

Other former western leaders, including ex British Prime Minister Tony Blair, were also extremely close to Gaddafi, visiting him regularly and helping to facilitate multi-million pounds business deals.

Sarkozy, who once welcomed Gaddafi as a ‘brother leader’ during a state visit to Paris, was said to have received millions from the Libyan despot to fund his election campaign in 2007.’

‘From day one, the Obama administration was aware that the September 11 assault on the US consulate in Benghazi was a pre-planned terrorist attack, despite offering up conflicting explanations in the weeks since.

Unnamed officials confirm to Fox News that the White House knew that al-Qaeda-linked terrorists were behind the murder of four Americans in Libya, but only today did US Defense Secretary Leon Panetta publicly acknowledge the truth.

Secretary Panetta now admits that the Pentagon knew within hours of the assault on America’s Benghazi consulate that left Ambassador Chris Stevens and three others dead that it was an act of terrorism.

The Obama administration has altered their explanation repeatedly in the weeks since Mr. Stevens and three others were killed on September 11, 2012 while on assignment in Libya. On Thursday, the Defense Department confirmed the attack as having been hatched by terrorists, despite earlier statements made by the White House that suggested an anti-American film produced in the US had triggered a spontaneous assault.’

Islamic Scholar Tariq Ramadan on Growing Mideast Protests and “Islam & the Arab Awakening” The Killing of The US ambassador to Libya has Nothing to do with the Anti-Islam Film (by democracynow)

‘As anti-U.S. protests spread across the Middle East, we’re joined by Tariq Ramadan, Professor of Contemporary Islamic Studies at Oxford University and Visiting Professor at the Faculty of Islamic Studies in Qatar. Ramadan is considered one of the most prominent Muslim intellectuals in Europe and was named by Time Magazine as one of the most important innovators of the 21st century. He was barred from entering the United States for many years by former president, George W. Bush. In 2004, Ramadan had accepted a job to become a tenured professor at the University of Notre Dame, but nine days before he was set to arrive, the Bush administration revoked his visa, invoking a provision of the USA PATRIOT Act. He was not allowed into the United States for another six years. Ramadan is the author of a number of books, including “Radical Reform, Islamic Ethics and Liberation” and most recently, “Islam and the Arab Awakening.”’

‘The US ambassador to Libya, John Christopher Stevens, and three embassy staff employees were killed in a bombing of the Benghazi consulate. Based on alleged outrage concerning a Zionist-sponsored film, Islamic gunmen stormed the embassy and set fire to the consulate.

US officials are asserting that Stevens and three others who died in the embassy bombing were the victims of a planned attack with the use of al-Qaeda, the CIA-controlled terrorist group. Rumors about the bombing being retaliatory against the death of a Libyan member of al-Qaeda are a cover-story.

House Representative Mike Rogers, chairman of the House Intelligence Committee stated that there is evidence that this was a “well-armed, well-coordinated event. It had both indirect and direct fire, and it had military maneuvers that were all part of this very organized attack.”

Al-Qaeda has been used by the US to create many disturbances, fake revolutions and false flag attacks. The latest is the recruitment, training and assembly of the Free Syrian Army which are coordinated on CIA-controlled bases in Turkey, and sent over the Syrian border to be monitored by al-Qaeda for the benefit of the US government.’

‘The British mainstream media have turned a blind eye to the root cause of Tuesday’s attack on the US consulate in the eastern Libyan city of Benghazi, in a bid to divert the public’s attentions to the consequences of the clashes, which broke out after a group of people held a demonstration to protest against an anti-Islam movie produced by an Israeli-American man in the US.

The state-run broadcaster BBC along with Telegraph, Guardian and Independent all covered the news with titles regarding the killing of US ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens and three staff members of the consulate in Libya’s second largest city, but apparently the media fell short of explaining thoroughly why the outrage grew across the Muslim world.

In addition to the BBC, which uses noun phrases such as “militiamen” and “a militia known as the Ansar al-Sharia brigade”, the Guardian describes Libyan demonstrators as “members of the hardline Islamist group Ansar Al-Sharia”, “hardline jihadists” and “a group of extremists” in order to portray the US as a victim of the storm to its consulate.

Furthermore, seeking to draw attention to the American causalities, the media headlines on September 12, which respectively belong to the BBC, Guardian, Telegraph and Independent, ranged from “US official dies in Libya consulate attack in Benghazi” and “Chris Stevens, US ambassador to Libya, killed in Benghazi attack” to “US Ambassador to Libya killed – September 12 as it happened” and “American killed as US consulates stormed over ‘Mohamed film”.

Meanwhile, the British media are currently applying the same trend in covering new wave of protests in countries such as Yemen, seeking to portray the US as a victim of the storms to its diplomatic missions.

The $5-million movie, which was financed by more than 100 Zionists, first sparked protests in Egypt because of its attacks on the Muslim prophet Mohammed (PBUH) after it was translated into Arabic and posted on The video-sharing website YouTube.’

BREAKING NEWS

‘BREAKING NEWS

Law enforcement has confirmed that the controversial anti-Muslim movie blamed for attacks on US embassies around the world was made by Los Angeles filmmaker Nakoula Basseley Nakoula.

The Associated Press reported early Thursday that Nakoula, 55, is responsible for the “Innocence of Muslims,” the film that was said to ridicule the prophet Muhammad and, in turn, prompt violent assaults on US land overseas, including missions in Egypt and Libya and the US Embassy in Yemen.’

‘Following the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi that claimed the life of Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other officials, the Pentagon has decided to move two warships to the Libyan coast.

Officials said that one destroyer, the USS Laboon, had moved to a position off the coast on Wednesday. According to the officials, another destroyer, the USS McFaul, is en route and should be stationed off the coast within days, Fox News reports.

The report quoted the officials, as saying that the ships, which carry Tomahawk missiles, do not have a specific mission, but they give commanders flexibility to respond to any mission ordered by the president.

The destroyers have crews totaling about 300, the report said. According to the report, there have been four destroyers in the Mediterranean for some time. These moves will increase that to five.’

‘Despite initial reports suggesting he died in a rocket attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, photos appear to indicate that U.S. Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens was killed by a lynch mob, illustrating the disastrous consequences of the Obama administration’s military intervention in Libya – arming some of the very same men who carried out today’s attack.

Was U.S. Ambassador Lynched? 120912stevens

“The US ambassador to Libya, Christopher Stevens, has been killed in a rocket attack in the eastern city of Benghazi along with three other embassy staff, the White House confirmed on Wednesday,” reports France 24.

However, images released in the hours after the attack show Stevens’ body being paraded around by a mob. The body appears to show signs of torture.

Subsequent reports speculated that Stevens’ car was attacked as he and the three other personnel attempted to escape from the Consulate. The other embassy staff were shot while Stevens’ died of “suffocation,” suggesting he was lynched and physically attacked by the mob.’

‘32 people have been arrested in Libya in connection with recent bomb attacks in the capital.
