‘Because of massive corporate consolidation of agriculture, centrally coordinated global regulations, a devalued commodity-dollar and unrestrained commodity speculation, chemical and genetic modification, and real or manipulated food shortages; there is indeed a war being waged — with food as the primary weapon.  Understand, this is a not purely a war on food, but rather a war on the general population. ‘There has been no society in the history of the world that has ever been 100% safe.  No matter how much money the federal government spends on “homeland security”, the truth is that bad things will still happen.  Our world is a very dangerous place and it is becoming increasingly unstable.  The federal government could turn the entire country into one giant prison camp, but that would still not keep us safe.  It is inevitable that bad stuff will happen in life.  But we have a choice.  We can choose to live in fear or we can choose to live as free men and women.  Our forefathers intended to establish a nation where liberty and freedom would be maximized.  But today we are told that we have to give up our liberties and our freedoms and our privacy for increased security.  But is such a trade really worth it?  Just think of the various totalitarian societies that we have seen down throughout history.  Have any of them ever really thrived?  Have their people been happy?  Unfortunately, the U.S. federal government has decided that the entire country needs to be put on lock down.  Nearly everything that we do today is watched and tracked, and personal privacy is rapidly becoming a thing of the past.  Many of the things that George Orwell wrote about in 1984 are becoming a reality, and that is a very frightening thing.  The United States is supposed to be the land of the free and the home of the brave.  Sadly, we are rapidly becoming the exact opposite of that.’

‘When did we decide that it was okay to treat very young school children as if they were terror suspects?  When I was growing up, I don’t remember a single time that the police ever came to my school and arrested anyone.  But now police are being called out to public schools at the drop of a hat.  All over America, very young school children are being arrested and marched out of their schools in handcuffs in front of all their friends.  For example, down in Georgia the other day police were called out because a 6-year-old girl was throwing a tantrum.  The police subdued her, slapped handcuffs on her and hauled her off to the police station.  Instead of apologizing for this outrageous incident, the police are defending the actions of the officer involved.  But this is not an isolated incident.  All over the country young kids are being handcuffed and mistreated by police.

#2 Police in the UK use advanced software that enables them to track the “digital footprints” of virtually anyone that they want to investigate. The following is how one news report in the UK described this software….

The Metropolitan Police has bought Geotime, a security programme used by the U.S. military which tracks suspects’ movements and communications and displays them on a three-dimensional graphic.

The software aggregates information gathered from social networking sites, GPS devices like the iPhone, mobile phones, financial transactions and IP network logs to build a detailed picture of an individual’s movements.

#3 In the UK there is a “three strikes” rule that allows your entire family to be cut off from the Internet if anyone who lives in your house is accused of copyright infringement three times.

#4 In the UK, free speech on the Internet is rapidly becoming a thing of the past. A recent UK government report calls for Internet service providers to remove as much “extremist material” from the Internet as possible. The following is an excerpt from that report….

#12 Tens of thousands of parents who homeschool their own children in the UK have been forced to undergo criminal background checks before being allowed to do so.

#13 Parents at one school in the UK were forced to undergo criminal background checks to prove that they were not pedophiles before they were allowed to accompany their own children to school Christmas events.

#14 In the UK, if you preach against sin in public there is a good chance that you will be convicted of a hate crime.

#15 Christian ministers in the UK have been told that trying to preach Christianity in an area that is primarily Muslim is essentially a “hate crime”.

#20 Government officials in the UK seem absolutely obsessed with gathering information on young children. The following example is from an article in the Register….

The government obsession with collecting data has now extended to five-year-olds, as local Community Health Services get ready to arm-twist parents into revealing the most intimate details of their own and their child’s personal, behavioural and eating habits.

The questionnaire – or “School Entry Wellbeing Review” – is a four-page tick-box opus, at present being piloted in Lincolnshire, requiring parents to supply over 100 different data points about their own and their offspring’s health. Previously, parents received a “Health Record” on the birth of a child, which contained around eight questions which needed to be answered when that child started school.

These days we are told that society works better when control freaks are watching, tracking, monitoring and recording virtually everything that we do.

With each passing year, the control grids get tighter and we lose even more liberty and freedom.

‘The various anti-Iran sanctions and embargoes had any number of unforeseen consequences like the massive spike in the price of bratwurst for sausage-hungry Germans. The latest round, which effectively cut off Iran from all international banking, is having major consequences.

US companies doing business with Iran, no matter how mundane, are now finding it next to impossible to get paid for the products they already delivered. Redmond, Washington-based American Pulp & Paper, for instance, is owed $3.8 million for raw material for diaper manufacturing. The companies involved now have no way to pay them for those materials, or to buy future materials from them.

From small paper companies to major pharmaceutical companies, this is the common story. Iranians can no longer buy American or European products, and what they already bought they aren’t being allowed to pay for.

Iran’s state-run industries are less affected by the move, with many of them turning to barter deals and transactions in gold. It’s an inconvenience, but not the crippling calamity that it is for Iran’s private industry, which once again is being harmed by sanctions that were supposed to center on the nation’s government.’
